The program is designed to address client needs for a full range of service requirements that integrate multiple service disciplines and ancillary services/products with the flexibility for commercial and non-commercial requirements, all contract types and pricing determined at the task order level to achieve a total solution.
Allows government agencies to purchase from pre-negotiated, long-term contracts, making procurement faster and more cost-effective compared to open-market purchasing. The program helps the government leverage its buying power and simplifies the acquisition process for a wide range of goods and services, from IT and professional services.
As a Best-in-Class (BIC) contract vehicle, SEWP enables agencies across the federal government to rapidly acquire commercial technologies and IT services through a simplified ordering process. SEWP VI supports a broad range of requirements including cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, managed services, engineering support, data analytics, communications technologies, and mission-focused IT operations.
This contract encompasses a broad range of work areas that allows for the rapid delivery of innovative capabilities to the warfighter with increased speed and agility, leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning enabled applications where pertinent, and maximizing use of digital engineering, open systems architectures, model-based systems engineering, and agile processes in the acquisition, development, and sustainment of these capabilities.
CIO-SP3 SB is administered by the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) as an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract and available for use by all government departments and agencies through the issuance of task orders. The focus of this contract is to provide to government agencies a mechanism for streamlined ordering of required IT solutions and services at equitable and reasonable prices.
